Claessens 102 is a universal (acrylic) primed, 100% cotton canvas with a medium texture weave, offering a pronounced and reliable tooth for paint adhesion.
This surface is ideal for landscapes, expressive figurative work, still life, and moderate to heavier paint application, where visible brushstrokes and surface interaction are desired. The medium grain holds paint well, supporting layering, confident brushwork, and controlled impasto, without collapsing fine structure.The canvas is adhered to our high-quality MDF melamine-backed panel using a special archival, museum-grade adhesive that is neutral and non-reactive, ensuring long-term stability of the surface and paint layers.
