  • Do I need to apply another coat of gesso or oil primer to the surface before painting on Cladstel panels?
No, it is not necessary to apply another coat of gesso or oil primer to the surface. Cladstel panels have already been prepped and primed to ensure the highest quality of finish. Applying multiple coats of gesso or oil primer can cause the surface to become too thick and create a barrier between the paint and the surface. This can result in cracking, peeling, or flaking of the paint over time. Therefore, it is recommended to paint directly on the prepped and primed surface of Cladstel panels for the best results. However, if you feel the need to add an extra coat, it is ultimately up to your preference. Just make sure to let the first coat dry completely before applying another one.
